Dee FH

Sat 26 May — Luv80s
Dance Tent hosted by Encapsulated Energy

Dee grew up surrounded by vinyl, as a child it seemed like every member of his family had an amazing collection! he first moved a crowd at family parties at the age of just 11, by switching between turntables and a tape deck to remove the silences!

A life long love affair pirate radio started around the same time, Foggy was an early hero bending the Electro sounds of the mid eighties. One night whilst listening to Radio London, it switched to Nite FM and what proceeded to come out of his speakers for the next two hours would change the course of his life. Roger Johnson mixing Hip Hop effortlessly alongside Soul and very early House music seamlessly and without the usual presenter talk! letting the music breathe, it was heavenly!

However it was the emergence of the Acid House movement that really felt like a scene that belonged to the UK, that inspired him the most. Unforgettable memories were made at the legendary Trip City, the M25 parties and illegal warehouse events in late 87 & early 88 - Watching Adamski perform was mesmerising! Fast forward 30 years and there has been a lot to look back on, residencies with 2000AD Desire, Tender, Club Together, Coalesce , The Pirate Club, Encapsulated Energy & Downfall to name a few!

Never one to plan a set, Dee prefers to play off the cuff, reacting to the crowds energy. Keeping it fresh he has never knowingly put the same records in a mix twice whilst in pursuit of creating the perfect mix!

For Dee FH it has always been about the music, It’s music that led him down a beautiful path in life, where he got to met some pretty amazing people! - Long my the journey continue!
